Urban Farming Project

STEMcityPHL & US2020’s Urban Farming Project (UFP) will be an after school mentoring program for K-8 students attending Dr. Ethel Allen Promise Academy in North Philadelphia. Students will come together to plant fruits and vegetables, learn the factors that promote growth, types of equipment to use, and how to process and store their produce through mentorships with community members and volunteers from Repair the World Philadelphia. The UFP will connect participants to their food and where it comes from, promote a healthy lifestyle, and address food security while building a sense of accomplishment and empowerment among everyone involved.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to help us on Martin Luther King Day!
