Students

Eligibility Rules + Scholarship Information

The Greater Philadelphia Regional JSHS invites the participation of all high school students (grades 9 – 12) enrolled in a public, private, or home school who have completed or wish to complete an original research investigation in STEM.  Experimental research, field research, observational research, and applied research are eligible; library research alone is not appropriate, though it is part of the research process.  For additional eligibility and scholarship information, click here.

Paper + Presentation Guidelines

Students will compete in one of eight categories.  They will design a research project, perform their experiment, and communicate their results.  Their paper and abstract will be evaluated, and semi-finalists will be selected to give an oral presentation on their work in front of a panel of judges at the regional JSHS.  Finalists will be chosen to represent our region at the national JSHS.
