Drexel’s summer academic programs are open to highly motivated high school students who wish to explore what a university-level program is all about. Workshops are led by Drexel faculty and utilize Drexel’s labs, facilities, and the city of Philadelphia’s many resources.

A full-time, 8-week forensic science research program where students are given orientation in laboratory safety and practice, laboratory skills, and analytical chemistry.

Philadelphia Youth Network – WorkReady Philadelphia

A free after-school and summer science enrichment program at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University.  Introduces high school girls to future careers in science and other professions by providing hands-on science workshops, career and college exploration, and positive youth development.

Thomas Jefferson University Summer Undergraduate Research Program

Provides upper-level undergraduate students with laboratory research experience.  The program is designed for students interested in pursuing their graduate studies in the biomedical sciences.

The University of Pennsylvania BioMedical Graduate Studies Summer Undergraduate Internship Program

The SUIP program is designed to provide an intense research experience to students interested in graduate student in the biomedical sciences.  Interns complete ten weeks of full-time laboratory research, listen to state-of-the-art research seminars and workshops, attend The Leadership Alliance National Symposium, and present their research at the SUIP Research Symposium at the end of the program.
